Rob Walch was inducted into the Podcasting Hall of Fame in 2016 and is the VP of Podcaster Relations for Libsyn. He is Co-Author of “Tricks of the Podcasting Masters” , an editors pick as a Top10 Reference book for 2006 by Amazon. Rob started podcasting in 2004 as host of the award-winning podCast411 podcast, where he interviewed guests such as Quincy Jones, Walt Mossberg & Larry Kudlow. He has consulted on podcasting for Jack Welch, Tim Ferriss, and eBay to name just a few.

Dave Jackson was inducted into the Podcasting Hall of Fame in 2018. He launched the School of Podcasting in 2005. He has been helping people understand technology for 20+ years as a corporate trainer and consultant. He is the author of the book, “More Podcast Money.” Over the years he has launched over 30 different podcasts with over 4 million downloads.

Rob Greenlee
VP, Content, and Partnerships
VP of Content and Partnerships, Libsyn (LSYN) and was inducted into the Academy of Podcasters Hall of Fame in 2017. Formerly served as VP, Podcaster Relations at Voxnest’s Spreaker. He started on radio in 1999 and then podcasting in 2004 with the first nationally syndicated radio show “WebTalk World Radio Show” to begin podcasting. He also worked as Voxnest’s Head of Partnerships and Spreaker’s Head of Content. Greenlee’s other prior positions have included as EVP/CTO at PodcastOne.com, Business / Content Manager of Podcasts at Microsoft Zune and Xbox Live Marketplace.
He currently co-hosts the “New Media Show”, a weekly audio and video podcast that streams LIVE on NewMediaShow.com/live, YouTube, Facebook, Twitter and Twitch every Saturday morning at 9am PST/Noon EST.

The Start Of Podcasting & Libsyn
- The Podfather, Former MTV video jockey Adam Curry and software developer Dave Winer author of the RSS format, invent a program called iPodder and podcasts.
- Libsyn (Liberated Syndication) launches as the first podcast service provider founded by Dave Mansueto and Dave Chekan offering storage, bandwidth, and RSS creation tools.
2005
Apple Takes Podcasting Mainstream
- Apple releases iTunes 4.9 with native support for podcasts new Podcast Directory.
- The word Podcast is declared the word of the year by new Oxford American dictionary.
- Libsyn has a booth at the very first BlogWorld & New Media Expo in Ontario, California.


2006
How to make a podcast using GarageBand


- Mugglecast wins People’s Choice Award for podcasts (hosted on Libsyn at the time of award).
- CEO of Apple, Steve Jobs, demonstrated how to make a podcast using GarageBand in his keynote.
- Blubrry.com podcast directory launches.
2007


- Apple releases the first iPhone providing better mobile access to podcasts.
- Keith and the Girl win People’s Choice Award (hosted on Libsyn).
- Google Buys FeedBurner for 100 million.

Libsyn Inks Advertising Deals With Major Brands


- Libsyn develops Ad Stitching tools for geographically targeted podcast advertising campaigns.

- Marc Maron launches the WTF with Marc Maron podcast on the Libsyn platform.

- Adam Carolla becomes the Guinness World Record Holder for the most downloaded podcast (hosted on Libsyn).

The first season of Serial, Podcast Movement, and iOS Podcast App


- iOS 8 launches and with it Apple makes the Podcasts App native to iOS.
- The First season of the podcast Serial was released, ten years after the beginning of podcasting.
- Gary Leland, Dan Franks, and Jared Easley use a Kickstarter campaign to fund the first national podcast conference Podcast Movement.
- The largest female lead Facebook Podcasting group, She Podcasts, is formed by Libsyn Community Manager Elsie Escobar and co-host Jessica Kupferman.
